CEBU CITY -- The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW RO-VII) released on June 12, almost PHP2 million in financial and livelihood assistance for the provinces of Bohol, Negros Oriental and Siquijor during their respective Local and Overseas Job Fairs on Independence Day celebration.
DMW RO-VII OIC-Regional Director, Maria Eloida Cantona handed the aid to the beneficiaries under the Agarang Kalinga at Saklolo Para sa Mga OFWs na Nangangailangan (AKSYON Fund) and Livelihood program for documented and undocumented OFWs for Bohol.
DMW-7 released PHP1.280M to 19 OFWs during the Local and Overseas Job Fair in Trinidad, Bohol on June 12 in celebration of the Philippine Independence Day.
Meanwhile, another PHP PHP670K financial assistance given to 10 OFWs from Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental and in Siquijor Province during their respective Local and Overseas Job Fair on June 12 with Mary Chris Relon, chief of the Migrant Workers Processing Division leading the DMW RO-VII team.
