NNC 7 partners with CONPC to widen dissemination of nutrition programs

CEBU CITY— The NATIONAL NUTRITION COUNCIL Region VII represented by its Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator, DR. Parolita Mission signed the Memorandum of Agreement with the CEBU ONLINE NEWS PRESS CORPS (CONPC), an organization composed of content creators, journalist, bloggers and media influencers represented by its Founder, Robby Alugar.

Both parties signed the MOA on March 1 at the DOH Central Visayas CHD Compound, Osmeña Blvd., Sambag II, Cebu City.  NNC7 and CONPC agreed to promote good nutrition through the formulation, dissemination and popularization of correct nutrition information that would influence and hopefully changed the nutrition behaviors of the people in Central Visayas and the overall nutritional landscape in the region.

The MOA aims to promote healthy nutrition by producing, disseminating, and popularizing accurate nutrition information that would influence the nutrition behaviors of Central Visayas through online platforms in keeping up with the current trends in information dissemination.

Promoting the key messages from the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) 2023-2028) are also included among them the interventions that focus on healthier diet, better practices, and improve access to quality services to reduce malnutrition across all life stages.

The agreement ensures that articles, stories and posts are engaging in collaboration with the CONPC members to publish and disseminate NNC activities in video, reels and through all media platforms. 

The goal of this collaboration is to improve people’s behavioral changes that actively promotes healthy eating, enhance family knowledge, attitudes and behaviors around food and nutrition.

Nutrition Program Coordinator Dr. Parolita Mission hopes that with this collaboration with the CONPC, all NNC7 programs are covered and given the extra boost to entice people, especially children and pregnant mothers to learn, adopt and promote healthy eating and healthy lifestyles at home and in communities in Central Visayas.
