CEBU CITY – The Great Cebu Sale 2020 is now on its last week, ends on October 31 and based on the data gathered, around 31 countries visited the website mostly from the Philippines, United States, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, Canada, United Kingdom and Qatar that generated 45,000-page views and 7,250 visitors.
According to the survey conducted by the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA)-Cebu Chapter that the sites of travel & tourism are the most accessed by GCS visitors followed by electronics, food and beverage (F&B), lifestyle and home essentials with 64-percent of the merchants increased their sales performance up to 20-percent as of Monday.
PRA-Cebu Chapter president Chester Lim said that the GCS was also conducted inside the mall with as much as 50-percent discounts from merchants, cost-saving deals at hotels/resorts, latest finds in fashion store, cravings at go-to restaurants and more.
Lim welcomed this development allowing Mall Sale in GCQ and MGCQ areas provided proper health Protocols will still be observed (mandatory wearing of Mask & face Shield, frequent hand washing, physical distancing and contact tracing. “The timing is right on time as the Great CEBU Sale will end by October 31st and this will help continue the momentum of more business activity as we are approaching the Christmas season”, Lim added and he is hopeful that in the last quarter more businesses will recover some of the losses in the 2nd and 3rd quarter due to lock down.

The GCS organizers also included weekly online raffle draw and weekly prizes include: eight pieces of Island Souvenirs Sinulog Shirts; seven pieces of Gift Certificates from Anjo World worth P500 per GC and one item from Aerophone and the weekly winners were notified via Facebook messenger and via e-mail.
