Cebu Online News Press Corps, CCCI to start “Enterprise of the Day” project in April

CEBU CITY – The “Enterprise of the Day” project of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in collaboration with the Cebu Online News Press Corps (CONPC) soon to start on April 3 this year and the CCCI and CONPC held a Meet & Greet event on March 24 at the Golden Prince Hotel and Suites to finalize the agreement.

“The partnership agreement between CCCI and CONPC signifies our commitment to embrace digitalization and utilize online e-news platform to promote our members and the Chamber’s interest,” Benny Que, CCCI vice president for business development said during the CCCI Meet & Greet event with CONPC.

Que said that with the implementation of the project, CONPC members will serve as the vital platform in promoting the benefits of the Chamber membership as well as market its activities.

The project has been a long-time dream of the newly installed CCCI executive director, Joy Lorena Segismar.  Initially, the project aims to promote member companies by featuring them on the newspapers and help them reach their target market.

“With the advent of digital technology, we realize a more relevant and up-to-the-minute way of promoting through social media platforms.  Through our collaboration with CONPC, our members will have access to a larger audience, potentially reaching more potential customers or clients,” CCCI manager for chamber growth Ma. Rose Paglinawan pointed out.

Segismar also urged CONPC members to cover other Chamber activities including the training programs and the Cebu Investment Center.  One of the chamber's ongoing project is the Training Induction Program (TIP) of the Motorcycle Small Engine NC II training held on March 14 at the College of Technological Services (CTS) in Cebu City.

Segismar added that the partnership with CONPC means a lot to the over 900 enterprises that are members of the CCCI and that each one of them will be featured in CONPC’s blogs, Vlogs, and news stories.

With 50 CONPC members with online media platforms, each CCCI member enterprise is given a chance to promote its products and the story behind the enterprise that will be featured in the various blogs, Vlogs, social media and YouTube posts of the CONPC members.

CONPC members interacted with the CCCI management staff during the Greet & Meet event and the oathtaking of the new members of CONPC was also held after the list of members was turnover to CCCI executive director, Joy Lorena Segismar.  The oathtaking of CONPC new members was administered by CCCI vice-president, Benny Que.

The founders of CONPC led by Robby Alugar of RMA News are also excited to work closely with the business community for the promotions of Cebu as the leader in the country’s development of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), that comprised up to 85 percent of the business economy in the country.
