SU student among Top 3 Most Outstanding International Students in PH

DUMAGUETE CITY – A Silliman University student from Indonesia, Anastasia Y. Kambai joins this year’s awardees, Kikou M. Ikusawa and Deborah Anirejouritse Eda in the Top 3 Most Outstanding International Students in the Philippines for SY 2024-2025 and was named the 2024 International Friendship Awardee at the Proclamation Rites and Awarding Ceremonies of the 51st Annual Search for the Most Outstanding International Students in the Philippines SY 2024-2025 on October 25 in Baguio City.

Anastasia Y. Kambai is a Psychology student studying in Silliman University has been recognized with her academic achievements and leadership within the international student community at Silliman University.

Known for her academic excellence and leadership qualities, Kambai is a consistent honor student and currently serves as the president of the Overseas Students Fellowship of Silliman Church. Her commitment to both her studies and community involvement made her a standout candidate in this annual search organized by the Philippine International Friendship and Understanding Association (PIFUA).

The selection process for the award involved a rigorous three-segment competition. Contestants took written exams covering Philippine historical facts and current events, demonstrated their talents, and engaged in public speaking. Finalists were evaluated based on their academic performance, community service, and leadership skills, showcasing the holistic qualities the award seeks to honor.

Joining Kambai among the top three were Kikou M. Ikusawa, a fellow psychology student from Japan currently studying at Saint Louis University in Baguio City, and Deborah Anirejouritse Eda, a nursing student from Nigeria studying at Lyceum University in Batangas.
