BOHOL Province -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-7) here with its secretary Ramon Lopez visited Bohol on March 21 and led the distribution of livelihood kits to 430 beneficiaries under the Livelihood Seeding Program-Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) and the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (LSP-PPG) that were conducted in two batches.
This set of beneficiaries is part of the over 3,230 recipients of the livelihood assistance for the 48 municipalities Bohol Province which DTI-Bohol initially targets to distribute for 2022.
The LSP-NSB and LSP-PPG are in partnership with the Local Government Units (LGUs) of the said municipalities and the beneficiaries were profiled by DTI Negosyo Center Business Counsellors prior to the distribution of the livelihood assistance.
These DTI programs aim to provide support to priority sectors and individuals through provision of training and livelihood starter kits and allow a wider reach of business development assistance with priority in areas affected by fire incidents and other calamities such as typhoons and health disasters like outbreaks, epidemics, and pandemics such as COVID-19.
Meanwhile, DTI-Cebu holds the Womenpreneur Fair 2022 from March 18-31 at Level 1 Rotunda, Ayala Center-Cebu in celebration of the National Women’s Month with the theme: “We Make Change Work for Women.”
The Fair showcases variety of products manufactured or distributed by 24 women-led micro small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Cebu, among which are gifts, decors and housewares, handcrafted fashion accessories and processed food made and all honed locally.
