DSWD taps CitySavings for SAP aid disbursement to LGUs

CEBU CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has tapped the City Savings Bank, Inc (CitySavings) to aid select Local Government Units (LGUs) in the country to conveniently disburse the cash subsidy under the department’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

According to CitySavings, the UnionBank’s thrift arm that it has served close to 5,000 qualified beneficiaries through strategically located branches in NCR, Regions 3, 4A, 6, and 7 since the beginning of the community quarantine.


Albert Sanchez, one of the qualified SAP beneficiaries who transacted at CitySavings Mandaue City, Cebu Branch shared that he was accommodated well by the staff and the transaction was efficient.

Gea Campos on the other hand who went to CitySavings Sampaloc, Manila Branch also bared that the bank has very accommodating, client-oriented, and courteous personnel and that safety protocols were properly observed.

CitySavings President and CEO Lorenzo Ocampo said that CitySavings is here to help and fully support this government-led initiative amid the health crisis.
