Bohol governor Arthur Yap with other government agencies distributed livelihood assistance/kits to various towns in the province over the weekend to enable local communities to proceed with life and livelihood sustainability in times of COVID-19.
Yap and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Bohol team turned over a check worth P1 million each to Catigbian town mayor Elizabeth Mandin and San Isidro mayor Diosdado Gementiza to fund their waterworks improvement projects.
The team also gave out livelihood kits worth P6,000 to each to the beneficiaries in several barangays of Catigbian, Mabini and Candijay towns, and round of premium rice and contact tracing card distribution to every family in these towns
Yap also delivered over 1,000 packs of rice at 10 kilos each for affected tourism-related workers in Candijay town, these were separate from the bags of rice at eight kilos each for every family of the town.
Meanwhile, governor Yap with Vice-governor Rene Relampagos and some local official launched the “Laum (Hope) Bohol” program and inaugurated on October 15 the Amoma (Care) Center at J. A. Clarin St., Tagbilaran City as one of the institutional components of Laum Bohol program.
According to governor Yap that the inauguration of the Amoma Center highlighted the 7th commemoration of the Great Bohol Earthquake.
