Cathay Pacific announces latest updates, developments

CEBU CITY – The airline industry is now adapting to the post-pandemic with new business and economic options and Cathay Pacific announces to resume flights to Riyadh starting October 28, 2024 onwards, and expanding its services to the Philippines.


Vishnu Rajendan, Cathay Pacific Country Manager bared these developments in a “Catch-up” fun-filled afternoon on June 20 with friends/members, partners and media at CIBO Restaurant & Bar at Level 4 at Ayala Center Cebu. 

Rajendran added that the resumption of flights to Riyadh will have three flights a week departing from HKG and RUH respectively and Cathay is also increasing the CEBU-HONGKONG flights from five to eight per week starting October 28 this year.” 

The airlines recently launched the new business class product— “Business Club Suites” and other product upgrades such as economy seats and onboard dining by October 7, 2024.

“Our latest is Cathay Pacific partnership with CIBO Restaurant in the Philippines, offering a 10 percent discounts on menu items for Cathay Pacific members.  I thanked CIBO Chef Margarita and her team for making this partnership to happen,” Rajendran said.

Rajendran expressed his gratitude to all Cathay Pacific passengers for their patience and support during those difficult times and also reiterated to strengthen its commitment to the Philippines.
