Honda Cars Cebu, CDU conduct gender-inclusive driving workshop

CEBU CITY – ACMobility Honda Cars Cebu in partnership with the Cebu Doctor’s University (CDU) Alumni Association and in collaboration with the JCI Metro Cebu Uptown Cebu Foundation Inc., conducted a gender-inclusive driving workshop dubbed as SHE DRIVES, SAFE: Empowering Women Behind the Wheel, to some 35 CDU students and staff at the Cebu Doctors University on June 14, 2025.

“Empowered women drive change—one safe journey at a time. With Honda Cars Cebu and Mandaue | ACMobility, we steer towards a future where every woman is confident behind the wheel. With strong and like-minded partners CDU Alumni Association and JCI Metro Cebu Uptown Cebu Foundation Inc., making positive changes in our community becomes easier,” Honda Cars VisMin/Cebu branch manager, Carl Bryan Enerio said, in his opening message.

Enerio added that Honda Cars pushes for women empowerment, one of the key goals on sustainable development.  The SHE DRIVES, SAFE initiative aims to drive in positive change through simple things, such as this seminar to have safer roads, safer communities, safer environment guides, as simple as checking cars and changing tires.

Dr. Julie Yap, president, CDU Alumni Assn. bared that the initiative aims to empower women and provide essential traffic management training. The workshop is beneficial for both students and staff, especially those new to driving. It includes hands-on activities and demonstrations, emphasizing the importance of driving skills for reaching distant destinations.

Yap highlights the practical value of obtaining a driver's license, especially for students commuting long distances, and expresses personal interest in gaining her driving permit. The event taught women participants through education and traffic management, road safety, and security.

Key figures such as PLT/Col Jomar Medil, PUMS Ronnie Caballes, and Patrolman Charles Darwin Tingson did lectures on traffic management and hands-on training on car safety, safety on the roads, basic info on traffic, changing flat tires, defensive driving and general car maintenance while ACMobility Honda Cars Trainer, Jonathan Mondejar introduced the innovative qualities of Honda Cars.

“SHE DRIVES, SAFE aims to inspire women to believe in their capabilities and to always bring out their best in both professional and personal lives. I’m grateful to the CDU president and administration, with various officers and departments for supporting this project,” Yap said.

According to Enerio, plans are in place to further collaborate with other universities, non-government organizations, corporate offices implement the “SHE DRIVES, SAFE” program for sustainable goals focusing on the environment to reduce carbon footprint in the transportation industry and women empowerment. CEBU CITY – The “Active Reception” at ACMobility- Honda Cars Cebu is described as the next level mobility serving Visayas and Mindanao branches that aims to streamline reception procedures and promote one-to-one accommodation to customers all throughout their service experience including after-sales services.

“To satisfy customers, Active Reception’s key point is to minimize reception traffic and immediately attend to customers. We give our customers a positive and lasting impression!” Bryan Enerio, ACMobility Honda Cars and VisMin branch manager told this writer.

Enerio said that Active Reception can transform an ordinary service initiation into an exceptional one to ensure that customers feel valued, heard, and well taken care of throughout the entire service experience.

According to him, Honda Cars ACMobility branches across Visayas and Mindanao can accommodate an average of 105 repairs per day; from period maintenance, general repairs, and body repair and paint.

ACMobility-Honda Cars Cebu After-sales services and PMS program

ACMobility-Honda Cars Cebu provides a range of after-sales services and a comprehensive periodic maintenance service program to ensure that every Honda vehicle stays in tip-top condition and these procedures and schedules are part of the “Active Reception” concerns. 

According to Enerio, the after-sales program includes regular checks and replacements of parts and lubricants based on a schedule. It also includes periodic maintenance, body and paint services, and recalls, with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality 

Enerio shared that the blitz 60 minutes PM service allows for quicker and more convenient periodic maintenance. Parts and lubricants for replacement include Engine oil, oil filter, drain plug washer, aircon filter (dust & pollen), air cleaner element. 

Honda Cars Cebu also offers body and paint services to restore your vehicle's appearance after an accident or damage. It uses a Body and Paint Estimation Tool to ensure accurate and efficient repairs, using water-based paint across most dealerships, which is safer for the vehicle and the environment.

The company conducts voluntary safety recalls too for certain models to address potential issues examples include recalls for airbags, electric power steering, fuel pumps, and hood strikers.  Affected customers can avail of free replacement or reinforcement services at authorized Honda dealerships.

 Latest offering is a mobile app called Honda Connect that allows owners to access vehicle information, control certain vehicle functions remotely, and receive notifications.  Features include remote air-conditioning control, door lock/unlock, emergency calls, location search, and notifications. Enerio shared.

Meet the new Honda HR-V electric hybrid, exclusively available in Cebu

CEBU CITY -- ACMobility-Honda Cars Cebu unveiled and launched the new HR-V e:HEV hybrid vehicle at its showroom at A. Soriano Ave., NRA, Cebu City on March 28 offering a P75K promo discount to new buyers and to its social media partners/members of the Cebu Online News Press Corps (CONPC).

“Meet the new hybrid vehicle now available exclusively in Cebu.  The HR-V e:HEV has unique features that offers a new level of performance and efficiency, with the hybrid artist engines for efficiency and a balance of class and beauty,” ACMobility Honda Cars Cebu & VisMin branch manager, Bryan Enerio said, as the Honda team unveiled the new car.

Honda Cars described the HR-V hybrid as the next-level mobility solution with the tagline, “There’s More To Life” and “There’s More To Power” with this responsive, self-charging engine that adopts to every drive.

Whether cruising through town or hitting high speeds, it delivers an exhilaration surge of power when you need it. Its Honda SENSING, Honda’s advanced driver-assist system makes the New Honda HR-V one of the safest cars on the road.

There’s more to style with its RS design leather seats with red stitching, (only with the HR-V RS e:HEV vehicle) and genuine accessories. The new HR-V has six variant colors –Ignite Red Metallic, Sand Khaki Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl and Premium Opal White Silver Pearl.

New Honda Civic e-HEV, a statement of commitment to environmental sustainability

CEBU CITY – The new Honda Civic 2025 model is not just a vehicle but a statement of Honda Cars-ACMobility’s commitment to efficiency and environmental sustainability highlighting significant changes from the previous versions with the latest technology, including the hybrid system identified as electric-hybrid electric vehicle or E-HEV.


“The new Honda Civic marks Honda's entry into the electrification trend in the industry with the launch of the new HRV electrified mode, starting with a hybrid model.   The new Honda Civic e:HEV is presented as the fastest and strongest in terms of power, with advanced technology and a 24/7 connection subscription,” Honda Cars ACMobility Chief Operating Officer, Steve Gingco told its bank partners and media/influencers in a Thanksgiving and Launching of Civic Hybrid on December 20 at the Honda Cars Cebu showroom.
According to Gingco, the new Honda Civic 2025 model is equipped with advanced technology, including anti-mitigation collision protection and Honda's "Honda Sense" safety features that is described as being highly connected and three to five years ahead of other internal combustion engine vehicles in terms of technology.  The car's advanced features and connectivity make it a leader in the market, with a focus on customer safety and convenience.

Gingco bared that Honda's direction is towards electrification with plans to launch more than 10 models of electric vehicles in the next five years.  “By 2023, Honda will stop manufacturing pure internal combustion engines, focusing instead on hybrids and electric vehicles,” he added.

Bryan Enerio, Branch Manager, Honda Cars Cebu ACMobility VisMin on the other hand also revealed that Honda has now transitioned to becoming a hybrid with the new model that is the RS 2.0 and it comes with Honda Sensing and Honda Connect systems. 

 “Honda connect means that with a touch of your phone or your handset, you already have control on safety, security and connectivity, even control the speed,” he said.

Enerio also points up to the commitment to sustainability in hybrid AC mobility, highlighting that for every car sold, a tree is grown.  To date, around 11,491 trees have been grown demonstrating a significant environmental effort.


The company upgrades all clients' cards ensuring continuous sustainability practices and he mentions the introduction of new models to reduce combustion and carbon influence, indicating a proactive approach to sustainability, he added.

Unveiling the new Honda Civic e-HEV Variant

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. unveiled the New Honda Civic with the 1.5-liter In-line 4 Cylinder DOHC VTEC Turbo Engine mated with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT); 2.0-liter DOHC DI Atkinson Engine with E-CVT with a refreshed new sporty and elegant exterior and interior design complete with advanced technologies such as Honda CONNECT, e:HEV, Google Built-in and Honda SENSING.

Prof. Jonathan Mondejar, Sales Trainer for VisMin ACMobility Honda Cars, described the new e:HEV Variant as the most powerful Hybrid in its segment.  “It sits on new-look alloy wheels.  At the rear, there aren’t any significant changes save for the addition of the new e:HEV badge. The front and rear Honda emblems have also been highlighted with blue to indicate that the car is, in fact, electrified,” he said.

Mondejar went on that the interior remains unchanged for the most part—still get the same materials and layout inside the solidly built cabin.  What’s new here, he bared is the addition of Google Automotive Services via the latest generation of Honda Connect.

The new Civic now offers new powertrain-a hybrid powertrain which delivers improvements in lesser carbon emission, acceleration performance, quietness and superb fuel efficiency, Mondejar bared adding that the new Civic has an individual Mode that allows the driver to select a personalized combination of the normal or sport-mode settings for throttle response and steering assist.

Mondejar also mentioned the Petrol Variant of the new civic that still offers an advance VTEC Turbo Engine which delivers superior performance striking a balance between performance and practicality, making it a popular choice for those who want an engaging driving experience without compromising on fuel economy.

Benefits of Honda Connect/Sensing to Honda customers

In its promotional literature, it highlights the new Civic Honda Connect that allows Honda owners to experience security, safety and convenience at the fingertips that is free for 3-year subscription. 

Civic Honda Connect also provides Safety and Security alarm detection; Automatic Collision Detection and speed alert.  It also Finds your Car and Geo-fencing alert; Emergency call; car status, service reminder, remote vehicle control; Diagnostic support, Fuel, battery, locks, airbag and 1to1 message, the literature reads.

According to Mondejar, with the Civic’s Honda Connect, “our customers feel trust and confidence, convenience and connection of man and machine with WiFi and proud to own a Honda car, especially the Civic that is equipped with the Google built-in automotive service.

Cars with google built-in (GBI) integrate favorite Google apps and services directly into the vehicle and these features are accessible via voice control and touch screen menus.

“Honda Sensing is a driver assist system that operates by using monocular camera to accurately detect the road ahead and take action to avoid situations such as one-car accident, collisions and pedestrian injuries.  Honda sensing lets the driver and passengers enjoy a more secure and comfortable driving experience,” Mondejar said.

Enerio on the other hand said that the hybrid system is designed to offer a balance between power and efficiency, making it suitable for urban driving and its configurations aim to provide exceptional performance and fuel efficiency, contributing to environmental sustainability.

“The system's functionality is illustrated with an example of driving within the city, emphasizing its efficiency. CEBU CITY – The Cebu Online News Press Corps (CONPC) has currently inked a memorandum of agreement (MOA) as corporate partner of Honda Cars Cebu ACMobility, FilCeb Club, Inc. and the Golden Prince Hotel and Suites to foster mutual benefits for all signatories.


 

Under the MOA, CONPC provides media and content support to enhance marketing visibility of their respective products and promotional materials embracing digitalization via online and social media platforms.

CONPC and Honda Cars Cebu - ACMobility launched recently the #CONPCLoungeAtHonda on November 22, at Honda Cars Cebu at A.Soriano Ave., Cebu City with Bryan Enerio, Honda Cars Cebu and VisMin branch manager and Robby Alugar, RMA News & CONPC Founder as signatories. 

The Lounge can be used by all CONPC members when creating contents and or just lounging around at the same time creating Honda Cars content as its marketing partner. #CONPCLoungeAtHond is provided with free unli coffee and WiFi.

CONPC and FilCeb, Inc. officially signed the MOA on November 30 during the MSME Entrepreneurship Summit 2.0 held at the Golden Prince Hotel & Suites with FilCeb president, Rey Calooy and CONPC Founder Robby Alugar as signatories. 

This collaboration underscores FilCeb’s commitment to strengthening business and social connections in Cebu. By embracing digitalization through an online e-newspaper platform and leveraging both social and traditional media practitioners, FilCeb aims to provide an effective and efficient way of promoting its members and the Club as a whole with CONPC as its partner.


CONPC and Golden Prince Hotel and Suites signed the MOA on December 2 at the newly-renovated Q Cafe with GPHS General Manager Arthur James Fernandez and Marketing Associate Monarch Andrew Semblante representing the hotel and CONPC Founder Robby Alugar as signatories.

This partnership is part of GPHS’ Golden Connections initiative that aims to foster a mutual benefit program for both signatories. Under the MOA, CONPC will help enhance the visibility and promotional efforts of the hotel’s offerings, including its signature outlets such as Q CafĂ©, LeMon, and Kabilin.
