Converge reaches 3M subscribers, gains ₱11.2B revenue 1st quarter 2026

CEBU CITY – Converge ICT Solutions Inc. (PSE: CNVRG) reached 3M subscribers in its prepaid fiber internet users, sustaining growth with P11.2 billion in revenues in the first quarter of 2026.

“We are focused on expanding our fiber footprint, especially in the Visayas and Mindanao, to serve more Filipinos with world-class connectivity.  Our enterprise customers will also get a boost with the completion of our national digital infrastructure that sets the stage for providing cloud and data heavy services,” said Converge Co-Founder and CEO Dennis Anthony Uy, in a zoom media briefing on May 14.

Uy bared that as of end-March 2026, the total Converge subscriber base reached 3.09 million, representing a 14% year-on-year (YoY) improvement. A key driver of this growth was the Surf2Sawa (S2S) prepaid fiber service, which saw its subscriber base skyrocket by 86.7% YoY to reach 674,000 customers.

The company’s Enterprise business has also sustained its growth trajectory, with revenues seeing a 16% growth during the quarter to reach P 2 billion.

For the first quarter of 2026, Converge registered P 3.02 billion in net income. Its EBITDA grew by 3.3% to P 6.9 billion with an EBITDA margin of 61.8 %, and Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) standing at 15.6% by the end of the period.

 “Despite geopolitical turmoil affecting the local economy and its growth prospects, we are able to insulate much of our operations from these. Our financial performance in the first quarter remains steady and we assure our subscribers - now at 3 million - that we hear them, and we’re improving resolution of our network challenges,” said Converge President and Co-Founder Maria Grace Uy.

Converge Chief Finance Officer Robert Yu bared that total cash capex for the first quarter of 2026 amounted to P 2.9 billion and the company maintains its capex guidance range at P18 billion to P23 billion as reported at the start of the year.

The company’s capex would mainly be used for the continued expansion and reinforcement of the network to continuously deliver reliable services, and at the same time, to prepare the   company for future demand. “As we anticipate growth for both our consumer and enterprise segments, we want to keep our infrastructure resilient to support evolving customer needs and deliver more digital services,” said Yu.

Converge recently marked the completion of its future-ready national digital infrastructure designed to prop up its delivery of cutting-edge technologies and cement the Philippines’ position as a vital node in the global digital economy. The said architecture consists of its extensive fiber backbone and satellite network, international subsea cable systems, cable landing stations, and scalable data centers.

In April, Converge again took home the majority of the Ookla broadband performance awards, specifically the titles of Fastest Fixed Network, Best Fixed Network, Best Video Experience, and the Lowest Latency in the second half of 2025, marking its leadership in broadband in the country for three straight years.

“While challenges remain, we’re seeing steady improvement in outage frequency and repair speeds. The number of subscribers impacted by network trouble has also been coming down. Response and handling times of our customer support teams are likewise improving. Converge powers PH’s hosting of ASEAN meetings

CEBU CITY -- Converge ICT Solutions Inc. was named an official connectivity partner of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for the Philippines’ hosting of key meetings of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), providing 1-gigabit to 5-gigabit speed connectivity in meeting venues and key locations nationwide.

The 48th ASEAN Summit, where all leaders from the 11 member nations will be present, will continue as a face-to-face event.

Converge engages with Aeta community in Pampanga

CEBU CITY-- Converge ICT Solutions Inc. (Converge) recently engaged with an Aeta community in Angeles City, Pampanga, through a day of tree-planting and outreach activities aimed at creating lasting, positive impact at the grassroots level, in collaboration with the Fraternal Order of Eagles – Kandili Chapter and the all-women volunteer organization Inner Wheel Club of Taguig.

The initiatives support the local government’s watershed reforestation efforts while also helping strengthen the livelihood opportunities of farmers in the community and Converge sowed 300 fruit bearing seedlings in the Sapangbato Watershed.

After the tree planting, the said organizations also conducted a medical mission to bring essential health and dental services directly to residents. Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Taguig gave a health education session on proper oral hygiene, provided basic dental care services, and distributed hygiene kits to community members as part of the outreach.

Converge and the Philippine Eagles also distributed grocery packs, medicines and vitamins, including garments to help address the immediate needs of the families in Sitio Target, Sapangbato.

“This initiative reflects our shared goal of supporting communities in ways that respond to their needs. By working together with other organizations, we were able to do so much for the environment, for the people’s livelihoods, and also in promoting the health and well-being of the community, all in one meaningful effort,” said Converge VP and Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations Jay-Anne Encarnado.

The engagement of Converge with Sitio Sapangbato builds on an earlier effort where 1,000 mandarin and coffee seedlings were sowed by its employees last year as part of its Women’s Month celebration, led by the mentors and mentees of its women’s leadership program, Grace Under Pressure: MentorSHE.

Converge launches its #CountdownToZeroWaste campaign

​CEBU CITY — Converge ICT Solutions Inc. (Converge) launched its #CountdownToZeroWaste group-wide waste management campaign focusing on the proper disposal and recycling of waste as part of its countdown to eliminate waste to landfill output by 2030.

“At Converge, sustainability means walking the talk. We want to show that we are keeping our promises and turning our sustainability commitments into real, tangible company practices,” Converge President and Co-Founder Maria Grace Uy said. 

She said that in 2021, Converge established its Solid Waste Management and Hazardous Waste Management Guidelines while this year the company puts more into practice based on the guidelines to ensure that its wastes are recycled, reused and treated properly. 

Uy shared that Converge’s  #CountdownToZeroWaste campaign, partnered with Jontrix Trading Philippines and Green Antz Builders Inc. for the proper processing, management, and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) or e-waste and with Kreations PH for the upcycling of its excess marketing materials such as tarpaulins.

“As we expand our business, we understand that we have a greater responsibility to operate more sustainably. Thus, we have pledged to achieve zero solid waste to landfill by 2030 as part of our sustainability commitments. To this end, we are embracing circularity and resource efficiency as key levers to reduce our waste,” Converge Chief Strategy Officer Benjamin Azada explained.

Jontrix Trading and Green Antz Builders are scrap recycling organizations that collect and upscale solid wastes into bricks, chairs, and other construction materials to aid in waste reduction. 

Meanwhile, Kreations is a social entrepreneur that helps women in Rizal to augment their household income by upcycling various materials; like tarpaulins, into bags, mats, and other household items.

“This initiative is particularly important because we know that the improper disposal of waste has a direct impact on climate change. Everyday, we see the impact of climate change on our environment. Typhoons are becoming stronger and the devastation is more massive. We’ve seen this happen several times in the past year as we strengthened our Disaster Preparedness Protocols,” Uy shared. 

E-waste is now considered one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the Philippines. Through its partnership with Jontrix and Green Antz, Converge ensures that its hazardous and e-wastes are properly hauled, processed, and recycled by DENR-accredited companies. 

To kick off the strategic partnership, Converge has launched the collection of discarded electronic devices and equipment from employees through zero-waste bins placed in its offices in Pasig and Clark and selected business centers while directing all of its business units to send all used tarpaulins to the head offices for proper upcycling and processing.

Azada underscored the importance of recycling e-waste as it contains toxic chemicals and a significant carbon footprint that will continue to impact the environment if these materials are not recycled.

“E-waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the world because we are digitalizing our economies. Everyone has electronic gadgets now, our TVs are getting bigger, and home appliances are becoming more accessible. The Converge network being pure fiber is already more sustainable. However, we recognize that we still produce a significant amount of e-waste from our day-to-day operations,” he said. 

Thus, Converge is committed to doing its part to minimize waste and to institute a circular economy, where they reduce, reuse, and recycle across its operations and its supply chain, Azada added.

Aside from fulfilling its zero-waste-to-landfill commitment, Converge also contributes in attaining the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) target of increasing the global e-waste recycling rate by 30 percent by 2023.  In 2021, Converge released its Sustainability Commitment as a guiding principle in becoming a globally competitive and sustainable company, Azada bared.
