Taiheiyo breaks ground for new admin office in San Fernando

SAN FERNANDO, Cebu-- Taiheiyo Cement Philippines, Inc. (TCPI) with its president and CEO Takashi Miyashita led the ground breaking and Safety Blessing Ceremony on August 21 for its new Administration Office building located near the main gate of the plant complex, signaling continued growth anchored on safety, innovation, and community partnership.

“Our new Admin Building is designed to make our work activity more productive and efficient. It will centralize all departments under one roof and offer a conference space for over 400 persons, one that we envision to host community engagements like scholarship ceremonies and health worker seminars,” Miyashita said in his opening message at the event.

He said that the new facility is a crucial piece in a long-term vision, following the successful completion of the Kiln Renewal Project in 2024, expressing his gratitude to the local government for its continued support and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to safety as construction begins in partnership with CCT Constructors Corporation (CCTCC).

CCTCC president Kaname Futaki, noted that the project brings together the best of both worlds-- Filipino skills and Japanese quality. “With our combined expertise, we are committed to delivering this project safely, on time, and with the highest standards of workmanship,” he said.

The project will be completed by March 2026, added the president of CCTCC, a subsidiary of Toyo Construction that has operated in Japan for 98 years and 49 years in the Philippines, including the south reclamation project in Cebu City.

With construction now underway, TCPI looks forward to the completion of a facility that reflects its values, especially in efficiency, inclusivity and a deep respect for the community it calls home.

“Taiheiyo does not simply build structures. It builds trust, opportunity, and community. May this Admin Office rise not just as a center of operations, but as a home for innovation, leadership, and collaboration, a powerful symbol of how businesses and communities can grow together,” San Fernando Mayor Mytha Ann Canoy said.
