CEBU CITY -- Central Visayas vaccinations reached 630,087 doses during the 3-day national vaccination campaign with 211,423 doses on November 29; 200,524 doses on November 30; and 218,140 doses on December 1, based on the data report from the National Vaccine Operations Reporting System (VORS).
VORS data showed that in the National Vaccination Days, Region VII ranked third highest number of jabs after Region IV-A or Calabarzon with total jabs of 1.079 million and Region III Central Luzon with 798,999 jabs. Region VI or Western Visayas came in 4th with 582,476 doses.
Cebu’s total vaccination output during the National Vaccination Days is 416,484 doses.
According to Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, Department of Health Region 7 chief pathologists and spokesperson for the Visayas COVID-19 Vaccination Operations Center that as of December 1, 2021, entire Cebu had administered 3.760 million doses.
Of Cebu’s eligible residents, 2.262 million have been jabbed with one dose while 1.491 million have been fully vaccinated, Loreche said.
The seven Metro Cebu local government units also turned up good vaccination numbers with 2.184 eligible residents having been inoculated. Of this number, 73.95 percent or 1.615 million have received their first dose. Also, 51.90 percent or 1.133 individuals are now fully vaccinated.
Cebu City has breached the one-million mark, after the city administered a total of 1.066 million, with 623,168 for first dose and 440,416 second dose, Loreche said.
Lapu-Lapu City has a total administered vaccine of 548,502, with 328,549 for first dose and 218,831 for second dose and Mandaue City with 503,832 total doses, 328,549 are for first dose while 218,011 are for second dose, Loreche added.
