CEBU CITY – The Department of Agriculture
(DA-7) in Central Visayas conducted a two-day hands-on training on the Operation
and Maintenance of the Rice Machinery over the weekend for 22
farmer-associations’ presidents and two local government units in Bohol held at
the DA-7 Bohol Agricultural Promotions Center (BAPC) in Tagbilaran City
The LGUs and the farmer’s groups were recipients of the machineries that included a 4WD tractor, combine harvester, trans-planter (walk-behind and riding type) under the DA- Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF).
The participants were trained on honing their skills on the different aspects of farm occupational health and safety as well as troubleshooting and maintenance of the equipment.
DA-7 Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer (APCO) Roman Dabalos welcomed the participants and encouraged them to take good care of the machineries and to troubleshoot as soon as the need arises.
