Consulate General PRC in Cebu inaugurates, turns over Flyover Mural Art Project to Cebu City

CEBU CITY -- Consul General Zhang Zhen of Consulate General of People’s Republic of China in Cebu inaugurated the TESDA Flyover Mural Art Project and turned it over to the Cebu City government on October 18 with Consul Zhen and her officials, Cebu City mayor Raymund Garcia, Councilor Joy Pesquera and local communities around the area along Archbishop Reyes Avenue in attendance.

“The Flyover Mural Art Project showcased elements of Chinese and Philippine culture, serves as a bridge of friendship and a symbol of cultural diversity, mutual learning, and social harmony in Cebu City,” Consul Zhen expressed her deepest appreciation to Cebu City for this collaboration of the Flyover Beautification Project with the support of local artists and workers.

Zhen said that the Consulate in Cebu is always willing to work with local governments and insightful individuals to strengthen cultural exchanges and local cooperation, fostering traditional friendship and creating more benefits and a better future for the masses.

Mayor Raymond Garcia on his part said that the project reflects the strong ties between Cebu and China, with the mural serving as a landmark of unity, friendship, and artistic expression
