PANGLAO ISLAND, Bohol— Cebu-based The Chocolate Chamber (TCC) spread its chocolatey-sweetness in Bohol as it ope
ned its first-ever store expansion on March 8 at the Moadto Strip Mall in Panglao Island, Bohol.

TCC is a shop-cum-café by Ralfe Gourmet Inc. with its president and founder, the tablea maker Raquel Toquero-Choa, who is dubbed as the country’s “The Chocolate Queen.”  TCC offers premium cacao-based products to tourists and locals and bringing the country’s rich chocolate-making tradition to the province.

“We are delighted to be finally present in the tropical island of Panglao as we continue to share our love for cacao with the rest of the country and the world. In TCC Moadto Panglao, we aim to offer unique, chocolate-inspired offerings for our tourists visiting this beautiful island, as captured in our slogan, “Chocolates from the Land, to the Brand, to Life,” Choa shared.

Choa, who is a tablea-maker and an artist with chocolate as her medium, said the market for chocolate continues to expand, which now includes people who are into wellness. Certain people consume chocolates for health reasons, she said.

TCC is home to some of the best artisanal chocolates in the country. It offers various cacao-based products from tablea, cacao de bola, hand-rolled truffles, hot and cold chocolate drinks to cookies, cakes, and chocolate-infused dishes.

Aside from TCC’s physical stores, the company also supplies chocolate to various high-end hotels and resorts in different parts of the country.

TCC’s main branch in Cebu is located in Robinsons Galleria. It also operates the Batirol by The Chocolate Chamber, located in Robinsons Cybergate, which is a more-hip café targeting the millennial, on-the-go consumers.

The Chocolate Chamber (TCC), the brand carrier of its mother company Ralfe Gourmet Inc., operates with a mission of catapulting the chocolate-making scene in the Philippines a notch higher.

In working towards its goal, the artisanal chocolate company focuses on transforming locally-produced cacao beans into internationally acclaimed creations through its various products and services as showcased in its cafés, boutiques, and other platforms.

TCC’s president and founder, Raquel Toquero-Choa, dreams of sharing her love for cacao with the world and believes in the power of collaboration as she continues to inspire the next generation of cacao stakeholders to continue the centuries-old tradition that celebrate and highlight the unique qualities of homegrown cacao.
