Aligned with the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a set of 7 principles established in 2010 by UN Women and UN Global Compact that guide businesses to become more gender-responsive throughout their value chain, the WEPs Awards recognize the Asia-Pacific region’s top gender champions in business.

WHO SHOULD APPLY? The WEPs Awards are for everyone in business – individual entrepreneurs, (young) leaders of startups, SMEs, social enterprises, and large multinational firms. We are seeking applications from all Asia-Pacific countries (see the detailed list here), from both WEPs signatories and non-signatories.
For this year, the nominees will be recognized for 5 main categories and a special category to advocate for UN Women’s Generation Equality campaign: Leadership Commitment; Gender-inclusive Workplace; Gender-responsive Marketplace; Community Engagement & Partnerships; Transparency & Reporting; Youth Leadership for Generation Equality. Each applicant can apply for up to two categories.
Applicants will be asked to upload supporting documents to verify your answers, but we understand smaller enterprises may not have these in place and are willing to accept applications with a written description in lieu of official documentation.
