CEBU CITY – The #ICanServeFoundation-Cebu with
the Generation Fitness group launched Pink October-“Dance in Candyland” a
fundraising dance marathon fitness party event set to happen on October 18 from
1:00-5:00 PM at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, Exhibition Hall, aimed at
promoting breast cancer awareness and funding free mammograms for all women.
“We are expecting to draw over 700 to 1000 participants, open to all ages, to inspire and encourage groups and community of dancers to come together, move with a purpose and make tangible difference in the lives and health of Filipino women,” shared Franz Ozalla and Chris Orlanes of Generation Fitness in a press conference on September 21 at Waterfront Hotel.
Pink October Dance in Candyland is a high-energy fitness event, it is a meaningful initiative to support early detection of breast cancer through the donation of free mammograms to underserved communities. Event entry registration is P550 per person and this is inclusive of an official event shirt and entry to the Zumba dance party.
Orlanes bared that the Pink October Dance in Candyland full of vibrant colors, dancing, raffle draws and exciting giveaways, photo contests, sponsor booths and product sampling and free mammogram screening at the event venue and a special tribute to Breast Cancer Survivors.
“This event isn’t just about dancing—it’s about making a real impact. We believe that through movement, community, and compassion, we can bring hope and awareness to the fight against breast cancer. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who is helping us turn this vision into reality,” said Ron Bernabe, Public Relations Officer of ICanServe Foundation, Inc.-Cebu Chapter.
According to Franz Ozalla, founder of Generation Fitness, that Generation Fitness is a community built on passion for dance fitness and advocacy for organizing meaningful events for Mental Health Awareness, World AIDS Day, and Breast Cancer Awareness.
“We are inviting everyone to this Pink October: Dance in Candyland to join the movement—literally—and show solidarity with breast cancer warriors and survivors. Every move on the dance floor will be a tribute to courage, community, and the cause,” Ozalla said.
The ICanServe Foundation, Inc.-Cebu Chapter is
a non-profit organization that provides hope and help for women with breast
cancer. It promotes early detection,
timely treatment, and patient empowerment through education, community-based
programs, and access to vital health services. The Foundation has been at the forefront of
