Roel Tolentino, General Manager of NuSTAR and Fili Hotels bared that the completion and grand opening of NuSTAR Hotel Cebu highlights the grand Summit project that is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026 or early 2027, which is an upscale hotel with 371 rooms and both high-end hotels focus more on technology and function rather than style.

Tolentino introduces the STAGE, a working name for NuSTAR’s performing arts theater, that is expected to boost the local theater industry and enhance Cebu's image as a lifestyle destination. He believes that STAGE (theater) will thrive due to the artistic qualities of the team involved and he mentions the Arts Council's role in bringing foreign artists to Cebu, highlighting the potential for cultural growth.

“The interior design of the NuSTAR Hotel Cebu is inspired by Cebu's maritime history.  The design elements include tall columns, arcs, marble flooring, and antique finish mirrors, reflecting a neoclassical style. The lobby's design is meant to evoke the history of Cebu as a key maritime hub in Asia,” Tolentino emphasizes the excitement of the design and its connection to the local history.

Tolentino shared that the Hotel’s F&B outlets and integrated resort concept include a wine cellar and a specialty restaurant on the 4th floor, buffet and poolside restaurants, as part of the integrated resort concept for both NuSTAR and Fili Hotels.

NuSTAR Hotel has its own convention center, that includes three boardrooms and a 5,000sqm of banquet and conference space. The Grand Ballroom is approximately 2000sqm while the NuSTAR Ballroom is around 4500sqm.  The Sky Deck located on the 24th floor offers open-air views as an entertainment complex with several new restaurants opening in the mall.
